Ohana means family.

Little Man got to meet his great-grandparents on Saturday. It was very exciting. We went to Grandma & Grandpa's house, since it's sort of part way between our house and the great-grandparents. It was sort of a "Welcome Home" party for the baby and we had such a nice time. It was a gorgeous day out - we ate lunch under a tent in the back yard and watched hummingbirds come to the feeder. We talked, Little Man was held by somebody, non stop, from about 11 till 6:30, not a bad life. Not bad at all. He was very cooperative and took his naps and nursed relatively on schedule, he only fussed a little bit.

I think J is so blessed to have 3 loving great-grandparents. I hope that he will have memories of them, not just pictures and stories. It makes me sad sometimes that my grandparents never got to meet him. Three of my grandparents never even met G, even though we started dating so young, because they died right when we started dating. I told J soon after we got home that his Grandmama would have loved him so much. She loved babies & children, especially her grandkids. He is Great-Grandkid #6 for G's grandma and grandpa and Great-Grandkid #1 for G's nana. They love him so much, it's truly amazing.

"Ohana means family. Family means you never get left behind or forgotten."
